    Outcome

    Stories

As a Reader, I want to join a Site and its Community.

    Problem

We released the Join button 24hours ago. I was expecting a few new members in our power communities, i.e., xlavapies, seed, ethosfera, lunaticoin, or semillabitcoin. Unfortunately, we had zero.

It is very hard to understand that a Site is a Community, and you can join.

    Solution

Give more importance to the Join button.

The subscribe button doesn't show up anymore. It goes away forever. We replace it with the subscribe box. The subscribe box disappears when the user has joined.

The subscribe box shows up always at the bottom of the document. The Subscribe Box is not sticky. It is not part of the document, but it is technically part of the document div.

The subscribe box shows all-page after scrolling. (We will do this in a second project).

        Design

            8. Join versus logged in

Seeing the behaviour in action we agreed with Horacio that the "join" button should not be mistaken by the account button.

              There are 3 options here:
              1. User is not logged in and haven't joined the site

              2. User is logged in but haven't joined the site

              3. User is logged in and have joined the site

              4. When user did not join the site yet, and starts scrolling the content, there will be a block to subscribe to get updates in between content.

          2

Facepile with the Community Members at the top of the Home Page.

    Design

Community Members card. It should be clickable to the people's tab.
