What I like is the left bar for content organization and applying different views to the document structure.

Looks like a freak functionality but bear with me all the features it can easily offer:

• Famous Purple numbers. On one sight, reader understands that blocks have identity.

• Collapsing and expanding.

• Moving

• Outline

• Levels

• Zooming

  • The really only alternative that I can think of is the Roam Research option, which clutters the design.
